Upstairs by Tom Shepherd is Staffordshire’s first, and only One Michelin starred restaurant, located in the heart of the beautiful, traditional city of Lichfield. The restaurant sits above Tom's father’s jewellery shop; City Jewellers, boasting a beautiful apex style ceiling and open kitchen, which is the perfect setting for any occasion.
TOM SHEPHERD
Born in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Tom’s previous experience has seen him work in some of the finest kitchens in the country, which include Restaurant Sat Bains, Michael Wignall at The Latymer and most recently, Adams in Birmingham. Tom also won a prestigious Acorn Award in 2018.
THE FOOD
Tom and Head Chef Michael Blades, along with their team, create flavour-led, produce-driven menus that are inspired by the changing seasons and local surroundings.
The dining room accommodates 36 guests and offers a 7-course Tasting Menu across both lunch and dinner services.
For a more intimate experience, the Kitchen Table is available for up to 4 guests, allowing you to enjoy a unique experience while overseeing the brigade as they create, cook, and serve their dishes.
